I had a talk with the Leon High School 2018 Football Team. I shared with them the value of playing together as a Team. My message was focused on "Excepting The Challenge" and maintaining the winning tradition.
The team responded in a positive way by going out the following week and winning the football game over a playoff minded Panama City Mosley football team. The win ended a seven game losing streak for the Leon High School Lions.
I have gone into the Leon County Public Schools and communicated with the students about success and planning for the future. This was done through the Junior Achievement (JA) program.
Junior Achievement is the world's oldest and largest organization giving students k-12th grade the knowledge and skill they need to own their economic success, plan for the future, and make smart academic choices. As a result, this has empowered them to make a connection between what they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world.
